The Little Studio in the Woods

A lit­tle wind­ing rock path from the house leads to the lit­tle stu­dio nes­tled in the woods. The build­ing is small, but just right for this artist and her dog Strider to feel at home. The light is great with the sky­lights and we have a good view of a deer trail just out­side the win­dows. In fact the deer often look in at us as we’re work­ing. They some­times snort and stomp their feet when they see us. This is under­stand­able since it was their space first after all. We enjoy a wide vari­ety of birds at the win­dow feeder too. My hard­est deci­sion of the day: Do I lis­ten to the sounds of nature or to NPR as I’m working?
