The Little Studio in the Woods

It had long been a dream of mine to write and illus­trate a children’s book.  Upon retire­ment, that became my first project.

“The ABC’s of Grandma’s Gar­den” is a lit­tle book writ­ten for my first grand­child, Ella. It’s a sim­ple lit­tle rhyming book illus­trated with water­color sketches. It was my hope to intro­duce her to the world of nature. I really loved every minute of work on this lit­tle gift of the heart for a very spe­cial lit­tle girl.

Along came Ella’s brother Cash. Of course he needed  his own book also. “The ABC’s of Grandpa’s Woods” was born as an effort to expose Cash to all the mys­ter­ies and adven­tures that are await­ing him with Grandpa when they explore our woods together. This lit­tle book was illus­trated in pas­tel to show the sub­tle changes of the seasons.

Lit­tle Finn, our newest lit­tle grand­son, will have a book of his own soon. I can’t tell you what it is yet. That would spoil the surprise!
